Frequently Asked Questions

Does the business days calculation account for holidays?
No. It excludes Saturdays and Sundays only. Public holidays are country-specific and not factored in. For precise business day calculations involving holidays, you’d need a holiday calendar for your region.
How does month addition handle edge cases like January 31 + 1 month?
JavaScript’s Date object handles overflow by rolling forward. January 31 + 1 month becomes March 3 (or March 2 in leap years), because February doesn’t have 31 days. This matches the behavior of most programming languages.
