Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my age in months not match what I\u2019d expect?

The calculator uses calendar months, not 30-day blocks. If you were born on January 31 and today is March 2, that\u2019s 1 month and 2 days\u2014not the \u201c1 month and 0 days\u201d a 30-day approximation would give.

Does this account for leap years?

Yes. February 29 birthdays are handled correctly. In non-leap years the calculator rolls to February 28 (or March 1, depending on convention) for the birthday countdown, and the total-days calculation uses actual calendar dates, not a flat 365.25-day average.
