Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. This is a screening tool, not a clinical diagnosis. It can indicate whether you should consult an eye care professional, but factors like screen calibration, ambient lighting, and display color accuracy all affect results.
What types of color blindness does this detect?
Ishihara plates are designed primarily for red-green color vision deficiencies (protanopia and deuteranopia), which account for the vast majority of color blindness cases. They are not effective for blue-yellow deficiency (tritanopia).
